A conference on the problems of the Commercial Register was held in Stara Zagora

January 2010

Again with the participation of Penkov, Markov & Partners

On 20 November 2009 attorney-at-law Vladimir Penkov, Managing Partner of the law firm Penkov, Markov & Partners participated in a further round table dedicated to the policies and practices of the Commercial Register. The event was organized by the AmCham in cooperation with the BCCI, the BIA and the CEIBG and was held in Stara Zagora.

Among the participants were representatives of the Registry Agency, the business, the judiciary, etc.

Discussed and agreed on were the recommendations of the legal analysis on the policies and practices of the Commercial Registrer, which was executed by a team of attorneys of Penkov, Markov & Partners under the assignment of AmCham and which related inter alia to the improvement of the general servicing of the citizens and the business by the Register and the unification of the practices of the registration officials. Also certain ideas for the development of the commercial registration through cooperation with other registers in Bulgaria and the EC were elaborated.

The conference represents another step towards the improvement of the cooperation and the dialogue between the Commercial Register and the business entities serviced by the latter, which act with the support of business organizations as the AmCham, the BCCI, the BIA and the CEIBG and based on the input from the legal analysis of Penkov, Markov & Partners and the recommendations from the extensive experience of the law firm in commercial registrations.
