Vladimir Penkov Confers Project of the Year 2011 Award

The award-giving ceremony of the seventh edition of the Project of the Year competition was held in the Bulgaria Chamber Hall in Sofia on March 29, 2012.

This year’s jury, consisting of HE Matthias Hoepfner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany; Ognian Donev, Chairman of the Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria; Daniela Petkova, CEO of Doverie Pension Assurance Company; Sevda Shishmanova, Programme Director of Bulgarian National Television; and Anna Zaharieva, Executive Director of FairPlay International, awarded three projects: Let’s Better Protect and Care for the Health of Our Children Living along the Danube River of the Danube Association of Danube River Municipalities, Early Intervention to Prevent Abandonment of Children with Disabilities of Karin Dom Foundation, and the Parents for Contact Network of the Association of Children with Congenital Facial Anomalies and Their Parents - ALA.

Mr. Vladimir Penkov, Managing Partner of Penkov, Markov & Partners – Attorneys at Law and Member of the Board of Tulip Foundation, and Mrs Sevda Shishmanova, member of the jury, conferred the award on the project of the Danube Association of Danube River Municipalities, entitled “Let’s Better Protect and Care for the Health of Our Children Living along the Danube River” to Mr. Petar Stoykov, Project Coordinator of the association.

The project aims to improve the conditions and access of children in 17 municipalities of the Danube region to specialised medical care, prevention, timely diagnosis and proper treatment.
