Partner specialist in repairs and statutory nuisance litigation, acting for tenants, leaseholders and occupiers and landlords, freeholders and property owners. Timothy is a solicitor advocate with higher rights of audience and regularly advocates for his clients in court without the need to instruct a barrister.

Career

Trained at Belshaw & Curtin; qualified 2003; joined Anthony Gold 2005, became partner 2010. Timothy has developed a specialism in advising tenants and other occupiers regarding problems with leaks, damp and mould. Timothy advises on a variety of issues in addition to repairs and statutory nuisance issues including possession claims, deposit protection, houses in multiple occupation (HMO) licensing and judicial review. He also acts in commercial property disputes for landlord and tenant. His cases have been reported in the Evening Standard, the Daily Telegraph, and the local press. Articles published in the specialist press including the Journal of Housing Law and Inside Housing.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
