The firm also represented Exxon Mobil in a dispute with the Federal Government of Nigeria over the renewal of oil leases.

The firm is currently advising Afren and five other indigenous energy companies on the acquisition of ten oil mining leases. Oghogho Akpata and Dayo Okusami led the advice on a proposed reverse takeover of a Canadian business by an indigenous oil and gas company on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
