Mr Ramunas Petravicius has a substantial experience in various litigation cases, international and national arbitration cases, as well as working on various complex energy, mergers and acquisitions, reorganization, labor law and bankruptcy projects. He regularly represents clients in litigation, advises on pre-trial dispute management and prevention issues.

Exceptional competence of Mr Petravicius in representing clients in labor-related disputes, providing labor law consultations to local and international companies, participating in a working group that helped to draft amendments to the Labor Code, is recognized internationally. He chairs Labor & Employment Committee at the Investors’ Forum (key investors organization in Lithuania).

Ramunas is partner at Ellex in Lithuania. He co-heads the Dispute Resolution Practice at our law firm.

Ellex's lawyers¬†are¬†'experts in the field' and regularly act in cross-border disputes and arbitration. Co-led by Ramunas Petravicius¬†and Giedrńó AukŇ°tuolien, the team represented East Capital Baltic Fund¬†in claims for ‚ā¨10.5m in damages against one of the largest dairy producers in the Baltics. Vilija Vaitkute Pavan,¬†who also serves as an arbitrator, advised the Ministry of Justice¬†on a matter initiated by¬†Vladimir Antonov¬†of now-insolvent bank Snoras regarding the alleged expropriation of shares. The case was dismissed by the¬†Moscow District Commercial Court. Other highlights included corporate litigation expert¬†Egidijus Baranauskas¬†acting for a major tax institution in bankruptcy proceedings, assisted by senior associate Jovita Gabniene. The practice group saw the addition of new associate¬†Aiste Mikociuniene,¬†who joined from the¬†Ministry of Justice.

Within: Employment

Ellex¬†stands out as being the ‚Äėbest in the Baltic market‚Äô, according to one client, and is active in a range of employment matters, including cross-border transfers, dismissals and litigation. Led by Ramunas Petravicius¬†and¬†Rimantas Stanevicius, the team advised Uber on the employment aspects of its operations in Lithuania and conducted a review of its global incentives programme.¬†Petravicius also assisted longstanding client Sicor Biotech with the implementation of the Labour Code, which included reviewing HR documentation.¬†Audinga Liekyte¬†joined the team from Primus Derling. Clients include H&M and Revolut Technologies.

Projects and energy

Ellex's key strengths are in commercial energy transactions, electricity projects and regulatory work governing heating and natural gas. Dovile Greblikiene heads the energy group and has been providing cross-border advice to Baltpool energy exchange on the expansion of its business. Specialising in infrastructure projects, Ramunas Petravicius is advising on a gas transmission project between Poland and Lithuania. Jaunius Gumbis heads the regulatory industries and trade practice.

Ellex¬†is the 'clear firm of choice'¬†for international development companies and¬†private equity real estate investors, advising on matters spanning multiple jurisdictions. Associate¬†partner Dovile Stanńćikaitńó¬†advised Danske Bank on the leasing of a 12,000-square-metre office building in Vilnius. Ramunas Petravicius¬†is advising LitGrid on the design and reconstruction of several major transformer stations as part of a state energy project. Other clients include¬†Hollister Incorporated and East Capital. Evaldas Klimas¬†has now left the firm for WALLESS Burgienńó, ReńćiŇęnas and partners, and¬†former practice head¬†Indrńó Jonaitytńó-Gricńó¬†and¬†Tomas MilaŇ°auskas¬†departed for in-house roles.

Aviation and railway matters remain a specialty for¬†Ellex's¬†transportation practice group, which is led by Dovile Greblikiene.¬†Miroslav Nosevic¬†successfully represented Skinest Baltija in a claim for damages against¬†Lithuanian Railways relating to a replacement contract.¬†Ramunas Petravicius¬†is advising RB Rail on the ongoing Rail Baltica megaproject and has also advised the¬†Ministry of Transport on Lithuania's airport services.¬†Laura Ziferman¬†has left the practice to found WALLESS Burgienńó, ReńćiŇęnas and partners.
