Ellex's lawyers are 'experts in the field' and regularly act in cross-border disputes and arbitration. Co-led by Ramunas Petravicius and Giedrė Aukštuolien, the team represented East Capital Baltic Fund in claims for €10.5m in damages against one of the largest dairy producers in the Baltics. Vilija Vaitkute Pavan, who also serves as an arbitrator, advised the Ministry of Justice on a matter initiated by Vladimir Antonov of now-insolvent bank Snoras regarding the alleged expropriation of shares. The case was dismissed by the Moscow District Commercial Court. Other highlights included corporate litigation expert Egidijus Baranauskas acting for a major tax institution in bankruptcy proceedings, assisted by senior associate Jovita Gabniene. The practice group saw the addition of new associate Aiste Mikociuniene, who joined from the Ministry of Justice.
