Position

Basile heads the Banking and Capital Markets department of MNKS. He advises clients in secured lending transactions and with the listing of securities on both the regulated and unregulated Luxembourg markets. Basile’s experience in structured finance is very broad and its securitization track-record includes advising originators in numerous multi-million euro transactions relating to different types of legal structures which have been rated or unrated involving listed bonds on various European stock exchange. Basile also assist in regulatory issues banks and professionals of the financial sector regarding the application of all new financial related regulations. He is also involved in capital venture financing and private equity transactions from time to time. Moreover, Basile has taken over responsibility for Fintech activities at MNKS, with a dedicated offering of specific services.

Career

Basile has substantive experience working with major law firms in Luxembourg advising both local and international clients. Notably, he gained experience in an independent leading Luxembourgish law firm with a strong focus on financing and corporate structuring, and then in the Luxembourg office of a major American business law-firm as head of the securitization practice.
