A firm that ‘definitely puts its clients first’, Fox Williams LLP provides ‘timely and commercial advice’ and ‘punches well above its weight’ in hotel and hospitality sector property transactions. Department head Phillip Hope, who has ‘a wealth of real estate experience’, recently advised a hotel operator on the funding and management agreements for the redevelopment and operation of a hotel in Spain; Hope also advised a separate major European hotel operator on the purchase of a long leasehold building at a significant London redevelopment site for the creation of a new hotel. Elizabeth Ruff assisted Castlechain with the sale of a London restaurant as part of a asset realisation project. Letting highlights have included Ruff assisting Glendower Capital with the lease of its new London premises, and Simon Smith advising FM Insurance Company on a high-value 10-year lease agreement. Rebecca Evans was promoted to senior associate, but James Young left for an in-house position.
