Especially strong in offering a full range of legal services to disruptive fintech start-ups, Fox Williams LLP's department is especially active in payments and peer-to-peer lending. Practice head Jonathan Segal advised Neyber, which provides employees of large organisations with financial products, on regulatory, commercial and data protection matters. He also assisted peer-to-peer fintech company ThinCats with its largest loan to date (at the time of writing), a £6.7m facility for Chelsea Yacht & Boat Company. Revolut instructed Chris Finney on various regulatory and commercial matters. On the corporate side, Paul Taylor has been assisting Velocity Mobile with fundraising, including share issuances, and Sona Ganatra advised Balderton Capital (UK) on the regulatory aspects of its £6m investment in insurtech start-up Zego. Other clients of the team include TuTasa, MoneyThing Capital and Prodigy Finance.
