Clinical negligence – claimant.
Position
Claire specialises in claimant clinical negligence work and has experience of a wide range of clinical negligence claims. She commenced her career representing families at the Bristol Royal Infirmary Public Inquiry into Paediatric Cardiac Surgery. She also represented the National Committee relating to Organ Retention (NACOR) and families in their individual claims in the Nationwide Organ Group Litigation before deciding to focus solely on clinical negligence work. Claire has a particular interest in birth injury cases leading to cerebral palsy, stillbirth or neonatal death, as well as paediatric surgery cases. She works closely with the national charity Sands, acting for parents in claims involving stillbirths and neonatal deaths. Particular recent highlights include settlement of a large-value, complex wrongful birth claim involving a child with cerebral palsy and settlement of a high-value brain injury claim following paediatric cardiac surgery.
