Position
Tony leads the firm’s editorial and contentious media team. He specialises in all aspects of publishing law, including online publishing. Tony also advises on various non-editorial matters, including lotteries, advertising and promotions. Two examples of note are: first, advising in a High Court case which established the maximum level of damages that may be awarded to a successful claimant in libel actions; and secondly, running a successful appeal to the Privy Council for a publisher in Jamaica, which extended the ambit of Common Law Qualified Privilege.
