Position
Edmund is head of the firm’s intellectual property, technology and outsourcing team, with particular skills in systems design. Edmund studies the programming language Cobol and designed a computer system for solicitors that was adopted by over 100 firms. He is well known in the South West region having worked throughout his career with technology companies and their intellectual property issues. Major work includes selling a major ISP to a plc; advising on several computer procurement exercises; acting for a national media group in all areas of new technology; advising on trade mark and copyright issues; acting for central government in major procurement exercises; licensing of government data to VARs and providing an expert system to a software house. Recently he has been involved in a large number of significant outsourcing projects in the IT arena.

Trained Gouldens; qualified 1978; partner Foot Anstey 1982; co-author, employment law section of ‘The Business Client Handbook’; wrote expert drafting system for specialist area and chairman of Wired West, the network for IT professionals for the seven counties of the South West.
