Petar Stojanovic, senior partner, was admitted to the State Bar and Belgrade Bar Association in 1992. Petar Stojanovic specializes in the field of corporate and commercial law, especially with respect to the foreign investments in Serbia and Montenegro. His extensive experience in the field ranges from the first privatization in Montenegro, to his engagements by the Privatization Agency of the Republic of Serbia, Deposit Insurance Agency of the Republic of Serbia and foreign investors in numerous privatization and international tenders and/or restructuring procedures. In that sense, as a senior partner in JSP he is the project manager in the fields of privatizations and restructuring; M&As; »joint-venture« and »public private partnership« projects and real estate development projects. In addition to the above mentioned, Petar Stojanovic is experienced in the following fields: capital markets, telecommunications, energy law, real estate, labor law, and international arbitrations.

Based in Belgrade, Joksovic, Stojanovic & Partners handles a range of corporate, competition and real estate matters in Montenegro. Recent highlights include advising the government of Montenegro on implementing the contract for the construction of the Bar-Boljare motorway and assisting Qatari Diar Montenegro with the development of the tourist complex BlueHorizons, including drafting agreements and representing the client in disputes. On the competition front, M&A expert Petar Stojanovic acted for Nelt and Alkemy alongside associate Goran Vucic on the competition clearance for a joint venture project. The team also advised Caterpillar on the loans needed for the purchase of equipment and securitisation by means of a registered pledge.

  • Transaction complete: Mid Europa Partners sells Bambi

    The leading private equity investor in Central and Eastern Europe Mid Europa Partners sold Bambi, the leading Serbian biscuit and confectionary maker, to Coca-Cola HBC. The sale was completed on 18 June, and Bambi, one of the most recognisable brands in Serbia, will continue its development under  Coca-Cola HBC .
  • Use of a Feed-In Premium for Photovoltaic Electricity

    The¬† Government of North Macedonia ¬†announced an open call for awarding a contract for the use of a feed-in premium for electricity produced in photovoltaic power plants (‚ÄúPVPPs ‚ÄĚ) on state land in North Macedonia, with total installed capacity of 35 MW. Two locations are envisaged for construction of the PVPPs ‚Äď Azambegovo (Sveti Nikole) and Manastirec (Makedonski Brod). Bidders can submit a bid for three PVPPs, at most, for the location of Azambegovo, as well as one PVPP on the location of Manastirec. The installed capacity of the PPVPs on the mentioned locations can be 10 MW, 5 MW, 2 MW and 1 MW depending on the parcel. The term of the contract for the use of a feed-in premium will be 15 years.

  • NiŇ°-Ekspres Fined for Abuse of Dominance

    On 24 May, the¬† Serbian Competition Commission ¬†fined the bus company NiŇ°-Ekspres from NiŇ° (‚ÄúNiŇ°-Ekspres ‚ÄĚ) for the abuse of dominant position in the amount of RSD 40,726,439 (app. EUR 345,000), which is 1.3% of the total turnover generated by NiŇ°-ekspres in 2016.

    The¬† European Commission ¬†consistently emphasises the citizens‚Äô rights and status in its hard Brexit preparations and contingency works. It appealed to EU Member Stats to take a generous approach towards the rights of UK citizens in the EU, given that the UK reciprocates such an approach.
