The firm
In the beginning, Gernandt & Danielsson was a small firm with 13 lawyers; approximately one-tenth the size of the largest Swedish law firms. However, from the very start, its clients were the big companies and Gernandt & Danielsson became known as the small firm handling the big deals. Its primary competitive advantage was, and continues to be, high quality; its best advertisement was, and continues to be, satisfied clients.
Gernandt & Danielsson is still a firm with big clients and deals, however, the firm itself is no longer small, with the number of lawyers having grown from 13 to approximately 80. Today, Gernandt & Danielsson has approximately 100 employees. The growth has been organic. Despite being approached over the years, Gernandt & Danielsson has declined to merge with other firms. Through continuous, yet controlled, organic expansion, the firm has succeeded in maintaining the highest quality in its services and the original corporate culture, characterised by co-operation and team spirit focusing on the best interests of its clients.
Areas of practice
Specialisation has become a necessity; Gernandt & Danielsson’s lawyers are therefore divided into eight practice groups. The breakdown into eight groups creates the conditions for the individual lawyer to gain more depth in a particular area, thereby obtaining the knowledge and experience required in order to be able to deliver what the client expects: concrete, accurate and valuable legal advice.
