Position
Özge Atılgan Karakulak is a partner in IP and Corporate/Commercial departments. Her practice focuses on intellectual property rights, life sciences, anti – trust and public procurement. Ms. Karakulak has been involved and leading numerous patent infringement actions against generic pharmaceutical companies and initiated with Mehmet Gün the first ever pharmaceutical data protection and exclusivity actions in Turkey. She advises a number multinational life science companies on a wide range of matters including registration procedures, promotion practices, pricing and reimbursement regulations, distribution relationships, co-marketing deals, as well as on issues of merger control, vertical restraints and abusive conduct. She advised and represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in negotiating a contract with the Turkish Ministry of Health for the supply of H1N1 influenza vaccine. She serves as a counsel to the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AIFD) and the Association of Research-Based Medical Technologies Manufacturers (ARTED) in Turkey and advises on many regulatory policy papers and drafting regulations proposed to the Turkish governmental authorities.
