Skanska won contract dispute against Luftfartsverket
Luftfartsverket hired Skanska Sverige to construct a parking garage for a turnkey contract comprising 1 800 parking spaces on five levels at Göteborg - Landvetter Airport.
In connection with the construction, Skanska detected settlement movements in the building and had to undertake considerable reinforcement work. The geotechnical investigation provided by Luftfartsverket turned out to lack information of vital importance wherefore Luftfartsverket was ordered to compensate Skanska for the additional costs that had arisen.
Luftfartsverket filed a counterclaim against Skanska Sverige for considerable damages for delay. The District Court dismissed the claim since Skanska Sverige had been entitled to an extension of time.
Setterwalls assisted Skanska through Anders Bengtsson.
