Position

Jo assists on a wide variety of contentious matters for individual, institutional and corporate clients. She advises both claimants and defendants and provides advice from the pre-action stages of litigation up to and including trial. Jo also works with the media team assisting in a broad range of claims representing both the press and those subject to media attention.

Jo Trained at Farrer and Co, and qualified in September 2010.

Education

She studied Modern History at Christ Church, Oxford, and converted later to law at the College of Law in Guildford

Farrer & Co ‘has a strong property litigation department, with excellent breadth and depth of knowledge’. The firm has ‘a growing practice with a large number of private clients’ and ‘ensures that their clients are provided with a top-quality service’. Siobhan Jones heads the department and delivers ‘excellent strategic and knowledgeable advice and direction to a case’ while ‘building excellent relationships with clients’. Jones is currently defending Holy Cross Sisters Trustees who are accused of deceitfully withholding information in a Court of Appeal planning application. The group has particular strength in representing high-net-worth individuals, contract interpretation and high-value dilapidations. Jo Ord is ‘technically very able’ and Graham Anderson is an ‘extremely effective and thoughtful solicitor’. Partner Adrian Parkhouse is also recommended and focuses on construction disputes.
