Synthes successfully completes the USD 21.3 billion merger with Johnson & Johnson
On June 14, 2012, Synthes, Inc. successfully completed the business combination with Johnson & Johnson after the regulatory approval requirements under the merger agreement had been satisfied.
Johnson & Johnson acquired Synthes for CHF 159 per share, or USD 21.3 billion. Synthes and the DePuy Companies of Johnson & Johnson together comprise the largest business within the Medical Devices and Diagnostics segment of Johnson & Johnson.
