Career

Jacob Vinther is one of the partners heading Accura's M&A team. He has special expertise advising and attending to the needs of large corporate clients and private equity investors, international and Danish, in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Over the years he has headed a number of high-profile M&A transactions in Denmark and is today recognised as one of the most active M&A lawyers in the country. He advises clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, including legal due diligence, structuring considerations, acquisition funding, drafting of transaction documents, in addition to participating in negotiations relating to mergers and acquisitions. Furthermore, Jacob Vinther has extensive experience in venture deals and holds memberships of both the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association's (EVCA) Tax and Legal Committee and the Danish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association's (DVCA) board of directors and legal committee. Jacob Vinther has been a partner with Accura since 2005.

The 'business and solution-oriented' team at Accura Advokatpartnerselskab is noted for its work on big ticket M&A transactions. Recent examples include Kåre Stolt advising a PFA-led consortium on its €1.5bn acquisition of a minority stake in Nykredit, Thomas Weincke assisting Tryg with its €1.1bn acquisition of Alka Forsikring, and Henrik Juul Hansen acting for Lone Star Capital on its €1bn acquisition of Stark. Jacob Vinther and Mads Ilum are also key practitioners; Vinther advised the founding family behind Gubi on the divestment of the company to Axcel and the Augustinus Foundation, and Ilum acted for Polygon on its acquisition of Dansk Bygningskontrol.

Accura Advokatpartnerselskab is highly active in energy-related transactions; Jacob Vinther recently advised Energi Fyn on its takeover of NGF Nature Energy and the transfer of its natural gas end users, and Laurits Schmidt Christensen assisted DCC with its acquisition of the majority of Shell’s fuel business assets in Denmark. Chevron and Hess are also clients. Kåre Stolt heads up the team and is highly experienced in M&A work.
