Position

Mikhail is a partner of MZS. He is experienced in corporate/M&A and has worked on many sizeable and complex deals, both domestic and cross-border. Mikhail also advises on antitrust, employment and tax matters. His usual clients are institutional and private investors as well as local and international corporations, including Airbus, Auchan, EBRD, Gerald Metals, Mangazeya, Nokia, Schlumberger, VTB Capital.

Career

Joined MZS as associate in 2002 and became the firm's partner in 2007. Earlier Mikhail worked as associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Cyprus and as in-house counsel for Russian telecom and investment companies.

Recent highlights include advising Gerald Metals on a joint venture with a domestic mining company with the aim to develop Russia’s largest copper deposits, Mikheevskoye and Tominskoye, and assisting the owners of Forum Properties with a joint venture with 01 Properties. In outbound transactions, Motrich and Alena Shubina are assisting a domestic healthcare investor with establishing a joint venture with a healthcare provider in Spain and Latin America.
