AKD assists Koninklijke Capi-Lux in planned sale of B&S International
The sale is expected to be formally completed within a few weeks.
François Defaix, Marieke Koster, Selma Baouch and Rosanne Vlasveld formed AKD's team, which was headed by Nathalie van Woerkom, with assistance from Angelique Martens, François Koppenol, Ümit Arslan, Ronald van der Stap, Kirsten Klinkers and Nikita Gommeren.
Under the name Capi - The Travellers Electronics Company, Koninklijke Capi-Lux operates consumer electronics shops at the airports of Amsterdam, Helsinki, Oslo, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Frankfurt, and Munich with another opening in Berlin in early 2013. Operating under the name of Capi Trading, Koninklijke Capi-Lux' business-to-business division, the company also runs a wholesale business for consumer electronics in the duty-free channel. Koninklijke Capi-Lux has an annual turnover of nearly EUR 100 million and employs approximately 230 people.
After the takeover Koninklijke Capi-Lux will carry on as an independent division of B&S and its current management will continue to manage operations from Hoofddorp, the location of Koninklijke Capi-Lux' head office. Close cooperation with other B&S International divisions is expected to result in strategic procurement and joint rollouts of distribution and retail concepts.
