Alan specialises in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).  He trained with a top tier firm in Northern Ireland, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2003 and completing five years’ practice before moving to Gibraltar and joining Triay & Triay in September 2008. He became a partner in Triay and Triay in 2012 and now supervises the Corporate and Commercial sub-teams on all corporate and financial transactional work. He has developed an excellent reputation as a leading lawyer in this sector, regularly working on international high-value transactions and advising on a full range of corporate, commercial and financing matters.

Alan also oversees the firm’s busy employment department and his personal employment practice focuses principally on non-contentious business which dovetails with his corporate and commercial work where he regularly advises major clients with a Gibraltar connection on all aspects of local and international employment law, human resource issues and employee benefits and incentives within a commercial context.  He is a sitting Chairperson of the Employment Tribunal in Gibraltar.

He assisted in the formulation of the Companies Act 2014 and co-authored the Gibraltar law chapters to The Mergers and Acquisitions Review (Expert Panel) (11th Edition, The Law Reviews) and The Employment Law Review (6th Edition, The Law Reviews).
