Which practices in your member firm do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?

We specialize only in immigration law so we hope to grow and expand our capabilities in that area of law.

What is the main change you have made in your firm that will benefit clients?

The main change, more than anything else, is the expansion of our technological abilities to such a large extent that I believe it puts us ahead of our competitors in terms of what we can offer.

The staff we have hired are extremely accomplished and are specialists in their field.

How is technology changing the way you interact with your clients and the services you can provide them?

With technology, we can react quicker and in a more timely fashion. It allows us to proceed in a more efficient way that saves the client money and effort.

Many of our clients want to interact with us through a technological tool, in addition to email or a telephone call. We can still provide services in person, or via email or telephone but we also provide new ways for our client to interact with us via our technology.

Our clients are increasingly interested in document analysis and document automation tools. Significant efficiency gains can be achieved when tools are carefully matched to tasks, taking into consideration features and benefits of specific tools.

Can you give us a practical example of how you helped a client add value to their business?

Many clients engage us because they need solutions to their business challenges that consider both tax and legal issues. By providing an integrated service in collaboration with Deloitte Canada, we have been able to save these clients time and money by efficiently addressing their needs as one team, rather than multiple teams.

Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms – where do you see the firm in three year's time?

As our firm continues to grow, so will our expert workforce. We will have technology that is second-to-none. We aspire to be the world’s leading immigration law firm.
