Which practices in your member firm do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?

All interdisciplinary areas of services where the advice of different professionals is needed, for example forensic services and in cooperation with teams Deloitte Digital nad Private. This is driven by requests of clients for interdisciplinary solutions of their specific issues. We expect growth in areas Banking & Finance, M&A, Regulatory and Real Estate.

What is the main change you have made in your firm that will benefit clients?

Further deepening of specialised groups lead by senior attorneys, and more alignment with Deloitte member firm tax and consultancy professionals.

How is technology changing the way you interact with your clients and the services you can provide them?

Digital natives are used to obtaining the information they need online – we see this increasingly also in our field of business. In addition to the substantial amount of information presented on our website – such as the International Dismissal Survey or the legal topics in the successful tax@hand app – we are now moving towards an interactive presentation of information about legal topics.

Increasingly, our clients want to understand and harness the power of state-of-the-art document analysis and document automation tools. We recognise that significant efficiencies can be achieved by carefully selecting appropriate tools that can address the specific challenges a client is facing.

Can you give us a practical example of how you helped a client add value to their business?

For many years, tire producers were striving to bring efficiency to their take-bake of end-of-life tires, and to set a level-playing field in this area by engaging a critical mass of the local producers in this activity. After approximately three years, and with our intensive legal support in the area of Extended Producer Responsibility regulation, the regulators amended existing laws and enabled the client to establish a new Producer Responsibility Organization, as the main tool to meet the client’s goals ( By advising the client also in Slovakia, we enabled them to achieve major efficiencies by establishing a parallel PRO in Slovakia ( The terms of the PROs establishment anticipated development of a recent EU recycling economy regulatory package, thus avoided cost of adjustment to new regulation. Our legal compliance services, together with technical environmental and business advisory from Deloitte network continue to support both PROs in their successful, effective operation, attracting many new producers joining the schemes.

Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms – where do you see the firm in three year's time?

The firm will focus on increasing our use of technology when teaming with other Deloitte member firm professionals – Deloitte Digital, forensic, etc. In this way, we hope to efficiently provide multi-disciplinary advice. and bundled solutions addressing our clients’ most complex, critical challenges.

The topic for next years is the new data privacy regulation, which there will effect companies from a wide range of industries. GDPR principes and rules shall be implemented in all operations, where the data processing takes place. We understand what personal data of company processes, where this data is located and how being processed examine policies and standards already existing in the company, any analyse new legal requirements. We set complex of mechanisms, services and technology for implementation.

We will continue to guide our clients through change, to help them identify priorities, and to deliver implementable solutions and technology to drive enterprise performance and growth. Finally, we will invest in attracting the best talent, and to enhance our reputation as a first class provider of legal services.
