The gaming business of Nordic Gaming Group, a privately-held company based on Malta, is acquired by Betsson for an up-front purchase price of EUR 65 million and a contingent, additional purchase price of up to EUR 20 million, bringing the total potential purchase price to EUR 85 million.

In the latest issue of IAM Patent Litigation 250, Grette is ranked as number one within patent litigation in Norway.

Grette advised Japanese Takeda Pharmaceutical on the acquisition of the Nycomed-group from, inter alia, Nordic Capital and Credit Suisse First Boston. Takeda Pharmaceutical is Asia’s strongest pharmaceutical company. Nycomed, originally founded in Norway, is an international health care company with approximately 12,500 employees and a turnover of 3,2 billion Euro in 2010.

Following the OECD and the European Union (EU), Norway has adopted changes to its e-commerce Value Added Tax (VAT) rules effective 1 July 2011.

Grette advised the Heinzmann group, Schönau/Germany, on the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Data Process Automasjon AS, Narvik. Data Process Automasjon AS provides engineering services for the ships' building industry as well as for the oil and gas industry.

Grette advised the Wegmann group, Kassel/Germany, on the acquisition of 49% in Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KMW) from Siemens. KMW produces tanks and other armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles and leads the European marked for such equipment.
