In September 2010, Finnish firm Hannes Snellman Attorneys at Law Ltd launched a new office in Copenhagen, hiring three high-profile partners from Bech-Bruun.

Eversheds Advokataktieselskab lost senior partner Sam Jalaei and his three partner team to Lett Law Firm. Managing partner Troels Askerud has also left the firm. Senior partner Nikolaj Juhl Hansen works closely with Eversheds LLP, handling cross-border transactions for clients including Tyco, Veolia, Boeing and adidas. Juhl Hansen advised SPX on its acquisition of food equipment manufacturer Gerstenberg Schröder and Codan Forsikring on the acquisition of a marine hull insurance portfolio from TrygVesta. Jalaei’s clients include Green Wind Energy, Spectronic Denmark and Gate Gourmet and he is lead counsel to a London FTSE 100 listed company in a €2.4m arbitration matter involving intellectual property right and contract law.

Jens Christian Lolk at Eversheds Advokataktieselskab assisted a major Danish retail developer with real estate acquisitions. Lolk is also appointed trustee in the bankruptcies of Centerplan and RC Real Estate.
Tax

Robert Mikelsons at Eversheds Advokataktieselskab is an expert on VAT, handling significant cases before the Danish courts and the ECJ. Mikelsons was appointed as an expert witness in an important case in Norway, and represented a holder of Nokia stock options in a leading case where the Danish National Tax Tribunal ruled for a significant change in the Danish tax practice. Clients include SAS and Cimber Air.
