Position
Partner and head of the Nicosia office. Her main areas of practice are corporate law, patent and trade mark legislation, intellectual property and insolvency.
Career
She established her own law firm, M A Kyriacou Law Firm, in 2001 which merged with Andreas Neocleous & Co with effect from 1 January 2007 and where she is now head of the Nicosia office. She was a pioneer in the protection of intellectual property, patents and trade marks and copyrights in Cyprus and contributed to international shipping and was acknowledged in 1991 by Lloyds List as one of the very few women in this field. From 1989 to 2001 she was the Registrar of Companies of Cyprus and during the same period was the Registrar of Patents, Trade Marks, Copyright as well as the Official Receiver of Cyprus. She is a former member of the Administrative Board of the European Patent Office (1998-2001).
