Partner at Macchi di Cellere Gangemi since May 2014.  Before that, Francesco worked from 2000 through 2014 in a prestigious Italian tax boutique of which he became partner in 2012.  In 1999, he served as officer in Guardia di Finanza (the Italian Tax Police) at the Head Office in Rome, Tax Office, Direct Taxes, III Department.
Francesco has significant experience in the sector of domestic and international tax.  In particular, his expertise includes the following areas: M&A transactions, corporate reorganisations, restructuring and financing transactions, financial instruments, private equity and real estate funds, real estate transactions, employee incentive plans.   He has developed relevant experience also in relation to tax litigation regarding complex cases and assistance in complex tax audits carried out by the tax authorities. He advises listed companies, domestic and international financial and industrial groups, private equity and real estate funds.  His activity includes also the interaction with the tax authorities for the purposes of settlements, rulings, etc..  Moreover, he provides tax advice to private clients. 
Lecturer at the International tax course at the Advanced Economics and Finance School - Department of Tax Sciences (Scuola Superiore dell’Economia e delle Finanze - Dipartimento delle Scienze Tributarie). Lecturer at the School of Tax Police of Guardia di Finanza.   Lecturer at the International and European tax law course organized by the Association of the Chartered Accountants in Rome – International Tax Commission (2008 – 2016).
He is often a speaker at domestic and international seminars and conferences.
