Finn J. Lernø forms part of our Corporate Team and is particularly engaged in M&A. Finn has helped clients in accomplishing numerous transactions, including a host of leading corporates at both the national and international level.

Finn has especially rendered assistance to industrial, pharmaceutical, technological, energy and construction businesses and always aims at keeping abreast of the framework applicable to the individual sectors and being updated as to the relevant market conditions.

He also provides advisory services on corporate law and other commercial law.

Finn was member of the Expert Committee on Corporate Law of the Association of Danish Law Firms 2009-2018, and he has served as an officer of the International Bar Association's Corporate and M&A Law Committee since 2010.

Finn was member of our board of directors 1990-1994, 1996-2001 and 2009-2013, and he was chairman of our Foreign Relations Committee 2004-2014.

Finn has consistently been recognised as a "leading individual" in Denmark with respect to M&A by the most prominent international rating publications, Legal 500 and Chambers. In the 2019 edition of Chambers Global, Finn is, as the only individual in Denmark, ranked as an "Eminent Practitioner" as regards Corporate M&A.

Plesner has a 'professionaldedicated and trustworthy' approach, with 'a personal and client-friendly mindset'. Tue Ravnholt Frandsen is an expert in M&A and private equity transactions and Christian Kjølbye 'stands out as a very capable lawyer' with 'a great insight into legal issues' and 'a friendly, understanding and hardworking attitude'; the pair advised Ferguson on the €1bn sale of its building materials distribution company, Stark Group, to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds. Kjølbye also worked with Thomas Holst Laursen, who is 'very responsive', 'calm' and 'takes no nonsense', to handle a consortium's recommended €5.4bn takeover of DK Telekommunikation. Other key names include Hans Hedegaard, who acted for Axcel IV on its sale of AX IV EG Holding III to New Dawn Holdings; Nicolai Ørsted, who possesses 'excellent negotiation skills' and 'the required knowledge of all areas related to the M&A process'; and Finn J. Lernø, who advised Sentia Holding on its acquisition of Athena IT.
