The recent week's torrential rain storm and flooding have again placed climate changes on the agenda. As citizens we experience heavy showers or actual monster rain resulting in flooding and extensive damage to property more frequently than before.

World Trademark Review places Plesner at the very top of its annual rating of leading law firms and patent and trademark agencies. Plesner holds a strong position in Band 1 as a law firm and Partner Peter-Ulrik Plesner is included in Band 1 for lawyers. Likewise, Partner Per Håkon Schmidt holds a strong top position. For the third consecutive year the leading international tax publication International Tax Review has named Plesner "Danish Tax Firm of the Year".

The award ceremony took place at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 18 May 2011.

International Financial Law Review 1000, one of the most well-reputed law firm rating agencies, has once again named Plesner "Law Firm of the Year" in Denmark. Plesner also received the award in 2007 and in 2010.

Partner at Plesner, Christian Karhula Lauridsen, receives the ILO Client Choice Award 2011 for the second year in a row

Mogens Aarestrup Vind and Rie Paving Mortensen are the latest additions to Plesner's competition law team. The team, headed by partners Christian Karhula Lauridsen and Gitte Holtsø, and also consisting of Bo Vesterdorf, former President of the Court of First Instance, now comprises fourteen competition law specialists. Christian Karhula Lauridsen says:

DJØF (the Danish Association of Lawyers and Economists) has published the book "Kommunale forsyningsselskaber" (municipal utility companies) written by Marlene Hannibal, Søren Stenderup Jensen, Peter Holm Larsen and Ellen Skodborggaard.

Tue Ravnholt Frandsen, Attorney and M&A specialist, will become partner in Plesner's Corporate Finance Department on 1 March 2011 as part of Plesner's ongoing efforts to consolidate its leading market position in Corporate Finance.

Harvard Law School’s Program on the Legal Profession (PLP) and leading European law firm Plesner announced a strategic collaboration today. Plesner will become the first European affiliate and supporter of PLP’s Center on Lawyers and the Professional Services Industry, which conducts and sponsors empirical research on the central questions facing the legal services industry.

International Financial Law Review 1000, one of the most well-reputed rating agencies of the law profession, has once again named Plesner Law Firm of the Year in Denmark. An honour that Plesner also received in 2007.

The leading international tax publication International Tax Review has once again named Plesner Tax Firm of the year in Denmark.

The internationally recognised publication for IP law, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), has named Plesner "IP Law Firm of the Year 2010" in Denmark. Read the background for the nomination here. Chambers has selected Plesner as Denmark's best law firm and winner of the Chambers Europe Award for Excellence 2010 for Denmark.
