Yves Delacroix is head of the Real Estate Practice at Liedekerke. He has extensive experience in handling large real estate transactions and has particular expertise in sale, sale & leaseback, lease related matters (and other occupational or financial contracts, such as: long-term leases, building rights, usufruct, financial or VAT leasing) and in related commercial contracts and construction law issues. He handles both real estate asset and corporate real estate transactions; he also assists on contentious matters. Yves Delacroix ranks amongst the leading real estate lawyers in Belgium. He acts for many international and Belgian investors, developers, corporate users and retailers.


Yves Delacroix joined Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick in 1990 and became a Partner in 2000. He is Chairman of the Board of directors of the firm since January 2013.He teaches real estate law as part of the executive master programme at the Louvain School of Management, University of Louvain (UCL).

Yves Delacroix is a member of the UPSI (Union Professionnelle du Secteur Immobilier); the World Trade Centers Association; and Lafitra (Association for Law, Finance and Trade).


Yves Delacroix holds a law degree from the University of Louvain (UCL 1986), a degree in international law from the University of Leyden (Netherlands 1987) and a degree in business administration from the Louvain School of Management (UCL 1988). He also attended the executive real estate programme at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB 2005).

As a full-service firm, Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick is well placed to advise on the environmental law aspects of real estate and corporate transactions. In addition, its dedicated team provides significant input in the development of projects in areas such as energy, transport and infrastructure. The group, which is 'pleasant to work with' and provides 'to-the-point advice', is also sought out in its own right for specific issues, such as waste management, pesticides, permitting and soil pollution. François Tulkens is leading the advice to the Brussels Capital Region on a number of high-profile noise limitation cases. Other key figures are Dominique Devos and counsel Filip De Preter, who are working with real estate partner Yves Delacroix to assist Ikea with the environmental law issues associated with the development of new stores in Belgium. Total, Vastint Belgium, Bofas and DP World also engage the firm on environmental matters.
