With over 25 years of experience in maritime and transport law, Henrik Thal Jantzen heads the Maritime and Transport Law group, assisting clients with goods cases, comprehensive motor insurance cases, protection and indemnity insurance, and insurance disputes. Henrik is a highly experienced commercial litigator and has conducted several landmark financial cases before the Danish Supreme Court. He also handles arbitrations, and has experience as arbitration counsel and as an arbitrator. Henrik became a partner in 1993.

Titulary member of the Comité Maritime Internationale (CMI). Member of the Maritime Committee of the Danish Institute of Arbitration. Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Danish shipyard FAYARD A/S. Board member of several Danish Foundations. Member of the Danish Supreme Court Bar Association (Højesteretsskranken). Member of the International Bar Association. Member of a Danish professional group for tort and insurance law.


Henrik obtained his law degree (cand.jur.) from the University of Copenhagen in 1983.

Henrik Thal Jantzen recently represented Codan Insurance in a Supreme Court case against MAPFRE related to double insurance. The team is led by well-regarded Jens Rostock-Jensen and includes maritime insurance expert Jakob Rosing, as well as M&A partners Jens Steen Jensen and Jacob Høeg Madsen. The client roster includes Tryg Forsikring, Zurich, Danica Pensions and SEB Pensions.
