The firm: The Lawyers’ Office was founded in 1994 by Bojana Tkalcic-Dulic after she spent a part of her career in courts and with the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Owing to the founder’s determination to have trainees and associates become partners after they pass the Bar examination and meet other legally prescribed requirements, the office has been expanding over time to become a joint lawyers’ office of several partners supported by a number of associates and trainees.

Presently, there are ten lawyers working in the office and several associates, and its expansion is to be expected soon. This makes it one of the larger firms in the Bosnia and Herzegovina legal environment, which specialises in providing legal services in the areas of commercial and civil law.

The office is a member of the Top-Tier Legal Adriatic Group (TLA), an alliance of leading law firms operating in the Adriatic region. TLA is an association of independent business law firms with an excellent reputation obtained both locally and internationally, providing a full range of legal services to foreign and domestic clients hailing from various industries in establishing, building and maintaining their presence in the Adriatic region. The crucial membership criteria are immense legal knowledge, integrity, vast professional and life experience of the lawyers and long-standing tradition of the member firms. The decades of member participation in – and completion of – landmark transactions in the Adriatic region make TLA the most experienced legal alliance in this part of Europe.

Areas of practice: The office’s specialisations include corporate law, M&A transactions, banking, privatisation and competition law, as well as dispute resolution and other related areas of legal practice in which the office has acquired an indisputable reputation for outstanding quality of services rendered to its foreign and local clients.

The firm acts in the capacity of an advisory body to a number of foreign embassies and international organisations, international non-profit associations, and agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It represents a significant number of large international corporations in finance, industrial and service-related sectors, including banking, financing projects, energy, real estate, civil engineering and development.

Over the past several years, the office has been rendering services related to a number of cross-border M&A transactions, privatisation projects of large companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, mergers of joint stock companies, real estate transactions, and other projects for its international clients.

The firm has been a part of numerous expert groups working on law drafting in the areas of business law, privatisation, banking, energy and the public sector.

Rendering these types of legal services, the office closely monitors developments in international law theory and practice on a daily basis, while its lawyers frequently participate in different workshops and seminars, as well as in international exchange programmes for lawyers.

The office maintains close collaboration with a number of international law firms in relation to projects of international importance, such as Dentons, Milbank, DLA Piper, EY Law, CHSH, Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Allen & Overy, White & Case, as well as prominent law firms from neighbouring countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
