Christian Johansen is specialised in construction law. He has more than 20 years' experience advising Danish and international parties in domestic and international construction projects, and he is an experienced advisor both in matters during the construction phase and in the event of subsequent disputes.

Christian is a trained arbitrator and assists in mediation and arbitration. He is fluent in English, German and Scandinavian languages.

Bruun & Hjejle handles the full spectrum of contentious issues for clients including Nykredit Bank, TDC and AIG. Noteworthy practitioners include the 'persuasive and determined' Karsten Kristoffersen, who has 'good cross-examination skills' and focuses on the banking, M&A and oil and gas sectors; commercial litigator Jeppe Skadhauge, construction specialist Christian Johansen, public law expert Nicolaj Kleist and department head Ole Spiermann; Spiermann recently assisted Danske Bank with its investigations into money laundering in certain accounts in its Estonian branch. Jakob Lentz also acted for the bankruptcy estate of Hesalight in a claim against its former management, board of directors and accountant.

Practice co-head Christian Schow Madsen has extensive experience in real estate transactions; he advised Danica Pension on its sale of 16 shopping centres to ATP. Fellow practice head Christian Johansen acted for contractor Salini Impregilo in an arbitration against Metroselskabet regarding substantial claims for additional work, disruption and delay during the client's construction of a new circle line in Copenhagen, and Søren Damgaard, who is 'an experienced negotiator', assisted Dades with the sale of its iconic building Gammel Kongevej 60 to KlÜvern. Also noted is Søren Kopp, who has 'a great working capacity' and 'can handle very complex transactions'.
