Position

Managing Partner Peter Appel's primary practice areas are maritime and transportation law, finance and general commercial advise to clients in the shipping sector. He also advises in Construction and Engineering Projects. Further Peter Appel deals with litigation, including international arbitration. He acts as counsel and as member of tribunals.

Career

Gorrissen Federspiel 1985 - Partner, Gorrissen Federspiel since 1994. Excessive teaching experience, inter alia from teaching at AP Moeller Shipping School and being assistant professor at Copenhagen Business School. Mr. Appel has the latest years given a number of presentations at international conferences on issues as Arbitration, Specialised Charterparties, Piracy and Ship Finance. Venues have included Hamburg, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Madrid Connecticut and Vancouver.
