In private practice for over 25 years, Alessandro Giuliani represents domestic and international corporations, private equity funds and banks in a variety of transactions, including acquisitions, financing, turnarounds, restructuring and joint-venture deals. He is regularly ranked among the leading M&A lawyers in Italy in all the major international legal directories.
With the firm since its foundation in 1988, Alessandro has spent substantial time in the U.S. and was in charge of the firm’s New York office from 1996 through to 2000.
Alessandro has guested frequently at many conferences both in Italy and in the U.S.

Regularly involved in important transactions in Italy, Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners' corporate and M&A group is led by the widely respected Francesco Gianni and Roberto Cappelli, while recent growth in the practice included Gabriele Arcuri and Andrea Gritti making partner. Key matters include Alessandro Giuliani leading the Italian law advice to Patheon, a global provider of drug development and delivery solutions to the pharmaceutical and biopharma sectors, on its sale to Thermo Fisher Scientific; and Alfredo D’Aniello acting for UniCredit on an agreement with Dorotheum for the sale of its Italian pawn credit business. The practice also acted for Atlantia on a joint investment with ACS and Hochtief in Abertis Infraestructuras, the Spanish-listed infrastructure company. Other highly regarded names are Andrea Aiello, Massimiliano Calabrò, Valentina Dragoni and Francesco Selogna. The firm also fields several foreign desk heads, including Rosario Zaccà for India and Mauro Sambati for Korea and Japan.
