Position

Giuseppe specialises in energy and infrastructure law, with specific regard to public law and regulatory. He has an extensive expertise on infrastructure regulation, utilities and project financing. He routinely assists leading national and international companies in the energy, gas, waste and water sectors. He has a broad expertise in energy and infrastructure development, from greenfield to commercial operation through construction and financing, both in the framework of public private partnerships and in the liberalized sectors. In the energy industry, he has been involved in several M&A transactions relating to renewables plants projects (wind, hydro, solar, biomasses) as well as major oil & gas infrastructures.

Giuseppe is Adj. Professor at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi of Milan, co-teaching “Project Financing and Financing Strategies for the Green Business”.

After graduating in Law from the University of Milan in 1995, Giuseppe joined the firm in 1999.

Environmental law expert and head of practice co-head Antonella Capria works closely with several oil and gas companies including Esso and Total E&P Italia, and fellow co-head Antonio Lirosi represents Manutencoop Facility Management in a dispute regarding the suspension of the exclusion measures from the healthcare and barracks public tenders as a penalty for its unfair competition practices in other tenders. The group also acted for ArcelorMittal in a dispute with local authorities and NGOs regarding the modification of the environmental permit for the steel plant Ilva. The highly regarded Maria Grazia Lanero and Giuseppe Velluto are also noted.
