Partner Cintia Martins Costa’s principal fields of activity are corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, finance and, structured finance, including securitisation.


Cintia Martins Costa became a member of the Luxembourg Bar in May 2005 and joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen the same year. She became a partner in January 2012. She was on secondment with Slaughter and May (London) in 2011.


She is fluent in English, French, German, Luxembourgish and Portuguese.


She is member of the Luxembourg Bar Council since 2013, member of the LPEA (Luxembourg) Private Equity and Venture Capital Association), co-Chair of the LPEA’s Legal Committee between 2012 – 2014 and member of the IBA (International Bar Association).


She graduated from the "Université Robert Schuman" (Strasbourg) and is a "maître en droit" in Business Law. She also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law obtained at King's College (London).

As one of the stalwarts of the Luxembourg market, Elvinger Hoss Prussen has strong direct ties with a raft of international banks and private equity sponsors, and is also a firm favourite of a plethora of top-ranking international law firms. Consequently, it is frequently involved in big-ticket banking and capital markets matters, including Toinon Hoss' representation of Intelsat on its $1.5bn senior notes issuance, and her work for Belron on the refinancing of its term loans. The team is also is also appreciated for its 'depth of expertise in relation to securitisation matters'; Cintia Martins Costa recently advised Fortress Investment Group on its investment, implementing a Luxembourg holding structure, in a securitisation of a portfolio of Italian non-performing loans (NPL) and the related refinancing of the portfolio. André Hoffmann and Pit Reckinger have a wealth of experience across both transactional and regulatory matters and are also recommended.

Elvinger Hoss Prussen acts for a wide range of real estate entities engaged in international acquisitions and disposals, as well as domestic development projects. Cintia Martins Costa provides financing, corporate and fund structuring expertise to real estate funds, including Nordic Real Estate Partners, which she recently advised on the €1.1bn financing for the acquisition of a pan-Nordic portfolio of 49 real estate properties through a Luxembourg acquisition structure. Léon Gloden continues to act for property developer Codic on a high-profile shopping center project in Luxembourg city center. Nathalie Prüm-Carré has expertise in urban planning law.
