Partner Toinon Hoss’ principal fields of activity are corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, financing and equity capital markets.
Toinon has advised numerous private equity clients in relation to the setting-up of acquisition and other structures, and has been active in the field of joint ventures and investment structures.
She has further advised major international groups of companies for corporate reorganisations, financing and re-financing as well as in relation to their capital markets transactions.


She worked for 18 months in the London legal department of a large multinational investment manager. Thereafter she joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen.
She is member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1997.


She speaks fluently English, French, German and Luxembourgish.


She is member of the IBA (International Bar Association) and member of the CCBE (Conseil des barreaux européens).


She is "maître en droit" from the "Université Paris I, Sorbonne" and holds a DEA in business law (lead by Professor Christian Gavalda).

As one of the stalwarts of the Luxembourg market, Elvinger Hoss Prussen has strong direct ties with a raft of international banks and private equity sponsors, and is also a firm favourite of a plethora of top-ranking international law firms. Consequently, it is frequently involved in big-ticket banking and capital markets matters, including Toinon Hoss' representation of Intelsat on its $1.5bn senior notes issuance, and her work for Belron on the refinancing of its term loans. The team is also is also appreciated for its 'depth of expertise in relation to securitisation matters'; Cintia Martins Costa recently advised Fortress Investment Group on its investment, implementing a Luxembourg holding structure, in a securitisation of a portfolio of Italian non-performing loans (NPL) and the related refinancing of the portfolio. André Hoffmann and Pit Reckinger have a wealth of experience across both transactional and regulatory matters and are also recommended.

Benefiting from strong ties with numerous clients in the asset-management industry, as well as corporates (including several Luxembourg-listed entities), the 'knowledgeable, pragmatic and efficient' team at Elvinger Hoss Prussen continues to handle a tremendous volume and range of corporate work. Toinon Hoss has a strong reputation within the private equity industry, and recently provided the local law advice to Cinven on its acquisition of Chryso. Patrick Santer is also very active in the private equity space, particularly on behalf of BC Partners, which he recently advised on its acquisition of PlusServe. Pit Reckinger has vast experience across a range of public and private M&A, as well as ongoing corporate governance advice and is a key member of the team that also includes recently promoted partner Thierry Kauffman.

A stalwart of the Luxembourg legal market, Elvinger Hoss Prussen has expertise across the spectrum of fund matters on behalf of a varied array of clients, ranging from boutique investment houses to large international fund promoters. Although it does handle retail work, the team is best-known across the panoply of alternative funds; JérÎme Wigny and Sophie Dupin have been busy establishing alternative investment fund managers for numerous international funds, including BC Partners and ICG. Gast Juncker has vast experience across fund structuring and regulatory matters, particularly with an Asian nexus. He has also been particularly active recently advising funds on relocation strategies post Brexit. On the transactional front, the 'outstanding' Toinon Hoss excels at private equity M&A work. Other recommended practitioners include Jacques Elvinger, Joachim Cour and counsel Jean-Pierre Mernier.
