Position
Ted specialises in the commercial and regulatory aspects of the telecommunications and broadcasting industries. His wide experience ranges from the construction and installation of telecoms systems through to the particular problems caused by the insolvency or liquidation of network and service providers. His experience includes the development and regulation of new services such as the provision of television on mobile handsets; the outsourcing of telecommunications networks and services; the contractual interface with consumers and telecoms privacy issues; sector and competition regulation (including advocacy before the Competition Appeal Tribunal); the powers and liabilities associated with the installation of systems in public and private land; telecoms standards; and the regulation of broadcasting services. He advises on the introduction of new services, undertakes work in respect of procurement and construction of systems, and advises on acquisitions and financings.
