Skanska sells its share in Autopista Central
Skanska is selling its 50-percent ownership in Autopista Central, a public-private partnership (PPP) highway concession located in Santiago, Chile, to Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), a Canadian institutional management firm managing funds on behalf of the Province of Alberta, certain public pension and endowments.
Skanska Infrastructure Development is a leader in the global PPP market. The business unit invests in, develops and operates roads, hospitals, schools, power plants and other social infrastructure in partnership with the public sector. Skanska is an international project development and construction company, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm.
Skanska was advised by Mannheimer Swartling on Swedish law in connection with the transaction. Tom Wehtje and Thomas Wallinder handled the assignment, primarily assisted by Patrik Lilieblad, Emil Boström and Jessica Holm.
