Position
Peter is involved in all aspects of development site assembly, property development, property finance, landlord and tenant law, property acquisition and sales, and property aspects of corporate transactions. He acts for a wide range of clients, including those operating in the private, public, education, hotel and leisure, retail, residential and healthcare sectors. He has a wide range of experience in acting for developer clients, including acting for joint venture and special purpose vehicles incorporated to facilitate development. Peter also has experience in advising clients on security options for development sites and agreements on the distribution of profit generated by development, including overage, clawback and profit sharing. He also has experience of advising clients on public sector transport and infrastructure projects. Advises Dundas Estates & Development Co Limited on development site assembly, site acquisition, joint venture arrangements and all aspects of development conveyancing; advises G4S plc and its subsidiaries on the property aspects of its Scottish operations; advises British Sky Broadcasting Limited and its subsidiaries on the retail property aspects of its Scottish operations; advises JCDecaux Limited on the property aspects of its Scottish operation; advising the Court of Edinburgh Napier University on the acquisition of a lease of a new student residencies at Fountainbridge, Edinburgh; acted for Quercus Healthcare Property Partnership on the acquisition of approximately £11m of Scottish healthcare facilities; acted for the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission on the acquisition of a new lease of premises at The Stamp Office, Waterloo Place, Edinburgh; advised Transport Initiatives Edinburgh (TIE) Ltd on its promotion of the Edinburgh Airport Rail Link Bill, including negotiating third-party objector agreements; advises Strathclyde Partnership for Transport on the initial property considerations in respect of the proposed Glasgow Airport Railway Link.

Contributed to the recent review of the landlord and tenant sections of volume 13 of the ‘Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia’ and has had articles published in ‘Green’s Property Law Bulletin’, ‘CA Magazine’ and ‘Estates Gazette’.
