Position
Smaro is an associate with the Firm which she joined in 2007. She has extensive experience advising corporate clients, including financial institutions, on the tax treatment of both inbound and outbound investments, mergers & acquisitions and the direct and indirect taxation implications of local and cross-border transactions and secondment of personnel. Her practice includes representing clients in disputes arising with the Greek Tax Authorities and wealth structuring, will and succession planning. Prior to joining the Firm, Smaro headed the legal division of the Tax Department of Price Waterhouse Coopers, Greece and was an executive counsel in the Retail Business of the Eurobank group.
