Position

Partner. Håkun Djurhuus specialises in environmental law, public law, dispute resolution (court and arbitration cases) and construction law. Håkun Djurhus heads Bech-Bruun's environmental team and its agriculture and food business team. He is a seasoned litigator having conducted hundreds of cases before the Danish courts, including the Supreme Court, the Building and Construction Arbitration Board and ad hoc and institutional arbitration tribunals. Håkun also serves as an arbitrator. Moreover, Håkun is in strong demand as a speaker and lecturer. Håkun has been awarded several honorary scholarships and twice received 'Sagførernes Auktioners Legat', a Danish auction house grant.

Bech-Bruun’s environmental practice is ‘among the best’ and provides the full range of services for a broad range of clients, including public sector entities such as the Danish Agriculture and Food Council and the Region Zealand. The five-partner team is led by the ‘very skilled and service-mindedHåkun Djurhuus and Jacob Brandt, who stands out for his ‘strategic mindset and experience from the regulatory side’. The group advised the Municipality of Fredericia in relation to the spillage of liquid fertiliser in the harbour. Other highlights include the department assisting Femern with public law matters regarding the construction of a tunnel; and advising Nord Stream 2 on the construction and operation of two pipelines in the Baltic Sea, including the environmental impact assessment.
