Position

Anders Heieren leads our tax practice. With background from the Ministry of Finance, many years as leader for international tax in PwC Norway and subsequently as SVP Tax Director in PGS he has more than 20 years of experience with Norwegian domestic and international tax law, EU tax law, M&A structuring both within the offshore sector and other industry. He has advised and implemented global transfer pricing projects, and agreed pricing methods with tax authorities.He also litigates tax cases and has assisted a number of large Norwegian and foreign companies in appeal processes and settlements with both Norwegian and foreign tax authorities. He co-operates with a global network of tax lawyers.

Arntzen de Besche is recognised for its expertise in the tax aspects of acquisitions and corporate restructurings particularly in the oil and gas, shipping, real estate, banking and insurance sectors. The practice recently assisted Gassco with real property tax issues relating to the Kårstå processing plant, advised Edge Petroleum on the tax elements of its establishment, and handled the tax aspects of DCC Energy's acquisition of Esso Norge's retail petrol station network. Anders Heieren leads the department, Eyvind Sandvik focuses on international tax and Rune Tjomsås Andersen is a key name for petroleum tax work.
