Position

Managing Partner. Sven Iver Steen is admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway and has extensive experience as a legal advisor for companies, non-profit organisations and the public sector. He has been instructed in significant projects within the Finance, Pension and Insurance sector. He also holds directorships and other board positions in the Norwegian business industry. He has been the CEO in The Joint Scheme for contractual pension (Fellesordningen for AFP), The severance pay agreement (Sluttvederlagsordningen) and the joint office for The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO)/The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). As CEO in The Joint Scheme for contractual pension (Fellesordningen for AFP) he adjusted the system of the Pension Reform and completed a restructuring of the organization. Mr. Steen has for decades worked for the Banking Law Commission (Banklovkommisjonen). He has been secretary of the governmental investigation commission of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk) and has been engaged as an advisor in the rescue of a listed banking group and has been appointed by the Court to direct investigation of a former public limited company. He acts as judge in arbitrations. He participated in the development of a report concerning a national pension rights register which resulted in Norwegian Pension (Norsk Pensjon AS). He has been the leader of the Norwegian Bar Association's Committee for banking, financing and currency, as well as the leader of the Norwegian Bar Association's Committee regarding money laundering.

Group leader¬†Sven Iver Steen¬†represented Overf√łringsavtalens Sikringsordning in a recourse claim against Oslo municipality following Oslo Vei's bankruptcy and¬†K√•re I Moljord¬†is acting for the bankruptcy estate of Marine Subsea in a D&O liability claim against the former board members, two former CEOs and the insurance company.
