Position
The senior partner. Eddie qualified in 1981, having been articled at this firm, to the renowned London solicitor, Adrian Neale. Eddie has represented hundreds of clients charged with all types of serious criminal offences (including many murders), manslaughter, armed robbery, firearms, sexual offences, drugs, extradition, serious violence, all forms of fraud, white collar crime, money laundering, asset forfeiture/recovery, and victims of police corruption. Thus, having extensive experience, he has represented a wide variety of clients in respect of investigations and proceedings instituted by many prosecuting authorities including CPS, DPP, DTI, IR, SFO, HSE, HMRC, GMC, and has dealt with cases before Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal, Administrative Court, House of Lords, as well as other tribunals including; Coroners Court, ECHR, Criminal Cases Review Commission, GMC, PAT, MHT. Eddie’s basic philosophy is client care and privacy, giving the personal touch to any case in which he is instructed. He has also been instructed in many important Appeal cases. Eddie has been described variously, by Chambers and Partners, over the years as being ‘one of the finest criminal lawyers of his generation and the possessor of wonderful tactical awareness’, ‘... not afraid to stand shoulder to shoulder with the clients’, and valued for his ‘no-nonsense pragmatism’.
