The ‘versatile, skilled’ Dick Lundqvist wins the respect of clients and peers. Together with Fredrik Palm, Lundqvist advised V&S Vin & Sprit on the SEK835m sale of Nordic wine and spirits. They are also advising Alfa Laval on its pending takeover bid for Munters and the competing bid from Nordic Capital. Bob Johanson advised Ticket Travel Group on Braganza’s mandatory public offer. Anders Wallén advised renewable energy company Statkraft on a joint venture with Södra. Krister Skoog was promoted to partner.

Fredrik Lindqvist’s team at Linklaters LLP advised Citibank International on the sale of its Nordic consumer loan and Shell card businesses, and Barclays on its public cash offer for Tricorona. Together with Jörgen Axelsson, Lindquist assisted Bure Equity and Skanditek Industriförvaltnings with its SEK2.5bn merger. The team lost Martin Börresen to Ashurst, Peter Högström to Lindahl and Björn Winström to Roschier. Darragh Byrne is recommended.

Mannheimer Swartling’s team is led by the ‘sharp and experienced’ Biörn Riese. Adam Green and Clas Nyberg led a 30-lawyer team advising Ford Motor Company on the historic €1.3bn sale of Volvo Car Corporation to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. Jan Holmius and Eva Hägg advised 3i on its dual-track exit of Ambea and €1.1bn sale to Triton Partner. ‘Knowledgeable specialist’ Andre Andersson and Niclas Sjöblom, who ‘understands the automotive industry’, are recommended.

Roschier recruited Björn Winström from Linklaters LLP and Mattias Friberg from Advokatfirman Vinge. Mårten Willamo and Ola Åhman represented Saab Automobile in its sale to Spyker Cars. ‘Business-oriented, practical’ practice head Jens Bengtsson acted for Investor in the acquisition of Aleris Holding from EQT III fund.

Advokatfirman Vinge’s lawyers are recommended for their ‘responsiveness and availability’. Carl Gustaf De Geer and his team are advising Apoteket Holding on the divestment of state-owned pharmacies. Johan Winnerblad represented the owners of Millennium Media Group in its divestment to Turner Broadcasting System Europe. Malin Leffler advised HgCapital on its acquisition of nursing homes group Frosunda LSS. Jan Byström assisted CapMan with its divestment of 67% of the shares of Inflight Service Europe, to Triton. Managing partner Michael Wigge and Johan Cederlund are recommended.

Petter Wirell and his team represented Zhejiang Geely Holding Group in its SEK13bn acquisition of Volvo Cars from Ford Motor Company, and Bisnode in its SEK83m acquisition of Directinet.Wilhelm Lüning is recommended.

The high-profile Peder Hammarskiöld and Jacob Melander lead Hammarskiöld & Co AB’s team, which represented GM in the sale of Saab Automobile to Spyker Cars. Lars Ulrichs and Jakob Falkman represented Morgan Stanley Principal Investments in the €510m sale of its stake in Mölnlycke Health Care Group to Investor. Carl-Johan Deuschl joined Advokatfirman Cederquist.

Anna Sundberg’s ‘responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient’ team at White & Case Advokat AB is representing Coca-Cola in its $822m divestment of Coca-Cola Drycker, and assisting Altor Fund III with the acquisition of over 200 pharmacies from Apoteket for the new Swedish pharmacy retail chain Apotek Hjärtat. Claes Zettermarck, Jan Lombach and Henrik Wireklint are leading names.

Baker & McKenzie Advokatbyra’s clients appreciate Carl Svernlöv’s ‘extreme availability and core legal knowledge. Sten Bauer represented Capman in its acquisition of Aspen i Jönköping Holding, in one of 2010’s few private equity deals. Anders Fast advised Ratos on the sale of Haglöfs to Asics.

Per Berglöf in Stockholm and Olof Myhrman and Vilhelm Nyström in Gothenburg, lead Advokatfirman Delphi’s 23-partner group. Along with the ‘commercial, dynamic and committed’ David Aversten, Berglöf advised Sherwin-Williams Sweden Holdings on the acquisition of Becker Acroma. Averstan advised new client Bonnier Gaming in its acquisition of Soft Capital Investment. Olof Myhrman and Caroline Ygge provide ‘good advice and solutions’.

Richard Åkerman and Sören Lindström lead Hannes Snellman Advokatbyrå AB’s ‘highly commercial and able’ team. Roger Johnson represented Triton Managers III on the €850m acquisition of Ambea from 3i. Åkerman acted for AB Wilh Becker in its sale of Becker Acroma to Sherwin-Williams. Lindström and Fredrik von Baumgarten acted for EQT in its €250m public offer for Academedia.

Clients commend Anders Söderlind’s team at Setterwalls for its ‘quick turn around, appropriate advice and reasonable pricing’. Dag Fredlund assisted Kronans Droghandel Retail in its acquisition of 171 pharmacies. Anders Holmgren assisted BAIC in purchasing IPR, technology and tools from Saab Automobiles in a SEK1.4bn transaction. Åke Fors and his team acted for HQ in connection with HQ Fonder’s SEK850m sale to Investment Öresund before HQ’s licences were revoked and it was sold to Carnegie Group.

Ashurst’s practice, led by Jon Ericson, commended for its ‘excellent service’ and ‘flexible approach’ recruited Martin Börresen from Linklaters LLP. Key mandates included advising Nordic Capital on its takeover offer for Munters; Investment AB Kinnevik on its investment in Bayport Management and Cision in the divestment of its German operations.

Dick Poppelman’s practice at Bird & Bird Advokat KB offers ‘international standards at reasonable rates’ and is supported by the firm’s ‘efficient network’. Hans Svensson and Caroline Carlshamre advised media group Talentum Oyj in the €7.5m acquisition of Bisnode companies Sverige Bygger and Norge Bygger, and handled acquisitions for Finnish telecom company Elisa. At DLA Nordic, group head Stefan Kamlin advised Gripsholm Golf Club on a complex SEK120m share/real estate transaction. Mathias Berggren and Björn Sjöberg assisted CapMan with its acquisition of Hermelinen and SRK Konsultation. Sjöberg and Peter Ihrfelt are ‘exceptionally hard working and commercial’.

Lindahl recruited Peter Högström from Linklaters LLP and Annika Andersson from Mannheimer Swartling. ‘Great team leader’ Carl-Olof Bouveng who focuses on cross-border M&A acted on the sale of Ambea by 3i to Triton Partners and KKR. Peter Lilja advised Altia on its €82m purchase of Pernod Ricard’s wine and spirits portfolio. The team is commended for its ‘deep business sense and good communication skills’.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton’s team was strengthened by Olle Jansson, former practice head at Advokatfirman Cederquist. Erik Nerpin advised Lundin Petroleum in its spin-off of its UK business into new company EnQuest. Practice head Sören Druve advised KONE’s Swedish subsidiary on two Swedish acquisitions of elevator & escalator businesses.

MAQS Law Firm recruited Anders Åberg and Patrik Gustafsson-Sonne from Advokatfirman Vinge and Björn Goldman from Mannheimer Swartling. Åberg represented TUI Nordic Holding on its acquisition of a majority shareholding in WonderCruises. Practice head Jens André represented ICU Intelligence in the sale of Playscan to state-owned gaming operator Svenska Spel.

The ‘pragmatic, dedicated’ Sten Hedbäck and ‘reliable, creative, proactive’ department head Niclas Högström, at ‘top-class’ M&A boutique Advokatfirman Törngren Magnell KB, advised AAC Capital Partners in its acquisition of Envirotainer. Peter Törngren, co-liquidator of Saab Automobile, is ‘a real star’, who ‘remains calm even in difficult situations’. Sara Axelsson is ‘energetic and driven’.

Wistrand provides ‘high partner presence at a reasonable price’. Robert Kullgren advised Schibsted on the divestiture of Metronome Film & Television. Lars Hasp advised Atea on the acquisition of parts of the Office Document Group. Magnus Forssman, ‘who combines excellent negotiating skills with a great legal mind’, and Mattias Boqvist were promoted to partnership.

At Hamilton Advokatbyrå, Mattias Detterfelt advised Investor Growth Capital and Priveq Investment in connection with their acquisition of two pharmacy clusters from the Swedish Government. Together with Johan Nordenfalk, Detterfelt advised Opcon on its SEK1.2bn takeover bid for Tricorona. Clients appreciate Maria Rosén and Thomas Myrdal’s ‘dedication and expertise’.

Hellström Lawresponds quickly and provides a high level of service’, assisting Swedish municipalities with the divestiture of municipal energy companies, advising on the structuring and financing of Swedish energy and cleantech companies and assisting with project finance in West Africa.

The ‘highly experienced’ Anders Båckman’s five-partner practice at Magnusson Advokatbyrå, commended for its ability to ‘customise service and cost levels’, advised BMW dealer Bavaria Group on its acquisition of BMW Sverige’s retail businesses in Stockholm.
