At DLA Nordic, Ulf Mårtensson’s ‘hard working, commercial’ team handled over 300 bankruptcies. Led by Kent Hägglund, it represented creditors against companies in financial distress, notably Saab Automobile. Jonas Premfors is representing the bankruptcy estate of Boliden Apirsa against Boliden in Sweden’s largest claim under the EC Insolvency Regulation.

Hamilton Advokatbyrå’s Lars Eric Gustafsson successfully administered Digital Vision’s complex reorganisation. Hans Renman represented KPN Quest in bankruptcy. The ‘professional, practical’ Lars Wenne, Dag di Meo and Mikael Levin are recommended.

Setterwalls’ practice head Odd Swarting, who has ‘credibility with the Swedish legal community’, is official receiver for Landic Property Sweden’s SEK600m bankruptcy estate. Rolf Åbjörnsson is receiver for Folksam International Reinsurance Company. Niklas Körling provides ‘professional, confidential advice’.

At Wistrand, the ‘excellent’ Christian Bergqvist in Stockholm, and Margareta Andersson in Gothenburg specialise in corporate restructuring and recovery, handling over 200 liquidations, including Skandinaviska Metmo and Moderna Finance, and advised EIB on its lending to Saab.

Advokatfirman Delphi has a dedicated corporate recovery group. Gothenburg-based Håkan Wendesten specialises in IT and telecoms work. Magnus Nedstrand in Linköping is receiver in the Bilgallerian Thomas Jönsson bankruptcy. Per Berglöf and Patric Lundin represented ANA Trollhättan and Goodyear in the Saab Automobiles restructuring.

Advokatfirman Fylgia KB’s Staffan Cassmer, Jonas Reiner and Lars Nylund handle insolvency and corporate restructuring.

At G Grönberg Advokatbyrå AB, court-appointed administrators Roland Sundqvist and Lars Wiking handle negotiations with lenders, creditors and debtors.

Peter Thörnwall in Helsingborg is Gärde Wesslau Advokatbyrå’s insolvency expert.

Uppsala-based Håkan Rudström’s team at Lindahl includes court-appointed receivers and administrators. Lars-Henrik Andersson represents creditors of Saab Automobile. Rickard Ström, who handled the Fly Me Sweden bankruptcy, and Anders Nilsson in Gothenburg, offer ‘good performance and problem solving skills’.

At Lindstrand Leffler Advokatbyrå, Toivo Jurik and ‘skilled, experienced’ Teodor Leffler specialise in corporate restructuring

At MAQS Law Firm, practice head Jörgen Estving and Mats Berter in Gothenburg advised on the Saab restructuring. The team also includes Fredrik Emanuel, who joined from Advokatfirman Delphi, and Mats Romell.

Mannheimer Swartling’s insolvency group, led by Thomas Pettersson and Biörn Riese, advises creditors and debtors negotiatiating restructuring and recovery. Riese was appointed liquidator of HQ Bank, following its compulsory liquidation by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, managing operations that culminated in the bank’s sale to Carnegie.

Roschier’s ‘competent, supportive’ team, led by Frederik Rydin, recruited Joakim Wedlund from Danske Bank and Mattias Friberg from Advokatfirman Vinge. Ola Åhman is singled out for praise. High-profile mandates included advising on the restructuring of Saab Automobiles, Rörvik Timber and Arctic Paper.

Bo Adrianzon’s team at Advokatfirman Vinge advised the Swedish National Debt Office on state guarantees for EIB loans to Volvo and Saab, and advised suppliers to Saab regarding its reconstruction. The Malmö team advised Thule on its restructuring.

Clients commend Matts Rooth at Ashurst, who advises on leveraged buy-outs and corporate restructurings, for his ‘responsiveness and business acumen’.

At Eversheds Södermark Advokatbyrå AB, Fredrik Järund and Claes-Göran Westerberg administer bankruptcies and company reorganisations.

Advokatfirman Glimstedt’s practice includes Hans Elliot in Stockholm, construction specialist Bo Ahlenius in Lund and Peter Savin in Kalmar. Malmö-based Leif Ljungholm was appointed receiver of UIQ Technology and AudioDev.

Hannes Snellman Advokatbyrå AB’s team, led by Frederik Madani, recruited Roger Johnson from Linklaters LLP and Paula Röttorp from Advokatfirman Vinge. Johnson led a team that represented Koenigsegg Group as a potential buyer of Saab Automobiles from the court appointed administrators. Saab was eventually purchased by Spyker.

At Hökerberg & Söderqvist Advokatbyrå KB, Klas Hökerberg and his 12-strong insolvency team are regularly appointed as receivers.

Guy Lofalk at Lofalk Advokatbyrå successfully handled the restructuring of Saab Automobiles.

At Advokatfirman Nordia, Marita Cederholm, Lennart Olsson and Henrik Wetzenstein advise on statutory bankruptcies and corporate restructurings.
