The ‘excellent’ shipping practice at Al Busaidy, Mansoor Jamal & Co is recommended for its expertise across the full spectrum of maritime matters, including ship financing, international commercial law, marine insurance and accidents at sea. Mansoor Jamal Malik and Said Al Busaidy jointly lead the team, which recently advised Société Générale on a complex $227m financing facility granted to Oman Shipping for the purchase of ten mid-range product tankers. Graham Mouat is also highly active.

Andrew Figgins heads Dentons’ long-established practice, which frequently advises shipping companies, oil and refined products traders, port owners, specialist contractors and insurers on the full range of shipping matters. In addition to a range of stand-out work highlights, the firm recently advised PSA Marine on its joint venture with Golden Dunes Investment to establish a maritime company in Oman.

Bruce Mullins is the name to note at DLA Piper Oman LLP, which has experience in the full range of maritime matters and particular expertise in port projects. The Ministry of Transport and Communication is a key client.
